Not able to charge or have a damaged port on your phone?
Soldered Ports
If your phone has a soldered charging port to the logic board we have the most experienced micro-soldering techs in Monterey County. We have no problem safely de-soldering your port and replacing it with a new one that will last.
Flex Based Ports
We can replace any flex or daughter board based charging ports. We will be sure to source the correct part for your model and cell phone provider. Most iPhones use these types of ports and repairs can be done as soon as one hour on select devices.
We can diagnose why your phone is not charging.
By using an In-Line AMP Meter we can quickly determine your charging issue. We can see the current draw and see weather we are dealing with a bad port or possibly some other issue quickly. By having the correct tools and knowledge we are able to resolve with accuracy charging related issues.
Cleaning out clogged ports.
If your cord is not fitting correctly in your charging port or wiggles out you may not need a new one. In these cases a cleaning may be the only issue. We have a 90x microscope that we can safely clean your port usually at no charge without damaging the pins.
How long does a charging port replacement take?
For iPhones the repair takes about one hour. For Samsungs, LG and some other brands we do the repair between 1-3 hours when the part is in stock.
How can I tell if my problem is my port?
We offer a free diagnostic and will be able to determine the issue when you bring your device in.
Can you bend back or salvage a broken port?
We always replace damaged ports. Bending the pins almost never works.
Can you install my part?
We don’t like to but we can. We don’t recommend using parts found on ebay, amazon or so on. We have build a strong relationship with our vendor and have figured out the best quality parts so you don’t have to. Our parts are competitively priced and usually we save people money by using our supply. You also get our 90 day warranty when we install our part. With your part the warranty is between you and who you purchased it from. We are just doing installation.
How difficult of a repair is this?
We certainly recommend having a professional do the repair. A lot of small components, fine adhesive and careful hands are needed. For soldered ports it requires quality equipment and lot’s of training and practice, a failed soldering attempt can leave your phone un-repairable!
