Smartphone Soldering
We offer soldering services for smartphones. We replace broken connectors and charging ports. We also do some misc soldering services on BGA components etc. For really open ended smartphone board level issues we may recommend data recovery as a best course.
Micro-Soldering
We do micro-soldering. If you need some small components even 0201 mm chips are fine. We replace BGA chips and other small components. We do all major SMD rework.
Computer Soldering
We offer a variety of computer board soldering services. Most of the time it is to replace the charging or DC jack. However, sometimes customers damage things during self repairs or we are repairing a board level issue that requires soldering.
Miscellaneous Soldering
We frequently solder components on car electronics, key fobs, outdoor growing equipment, DJ equipment, drones and many other devices providing it is a practical repair. These are devices that need specific components installed, swapped or repaired. While we don’t specialize in this type of equipment, we can solder on any type of circuit board regardless of where it came from. However, these are considered “feature repairs” meaning you do the homework we do the handy work. Many times we also have you do the disassembly and re-assembly.
Expert Equipment & Training
We are currently using the best Hakko soldering equipment. We also have excellent microscopes and lepton thermal imaging devices for tracking down shorts and so on. Our lead soldering technician has been certified via a training in New York with the famous Jessa Jones and Luis Rossman with completion of their course.
Common Soldering Questions & Answers
Will you diagnose circuit board issues on a non Computer or Phone device?
If the problem seems straight forward enough we will. However, we specialize in phone & computer repair. So if you bring us a circuit board from a car engine or some other device we would most likely only offer a feature repair. Since we are not car mechanics we cannot easily test the repairs done on circuitry brought to us. However, if you have done your homework, discovered an issue with the board and read about it only and want us to do the labor of soldering the new component etc then we will. If something is obvious to us we will point it out. Don’t expect us to finish your car repair from start to finish. We are simply the soldering gurus in these types of matters.
Do you fix peripheral components like Bluetooth speakers, mice and keyboards or headphones?
We rarely fix inexpensive devices like these. Our minimum labor is $35 to turn on our soldering iron. It just does not make sense to try and fix a $5 pair of ear buds. However, for higher end devices just check with us.
Do you fix phone or laptop chargers?
We do not. Go get a new one. Our minimum soldering fee is $35 and not worth it. We may have new ones for sale for less.
What if I provide my own part?
That is perfectly fine. Just make sure it is the correct part.
What is the wierdest thing you have soldered for a customer?
One time we fixed a lie detector machine that was in the process of being set up in a hotel room (spooky). We also fixed a solar regulator for a large outdoor cannabis grow (groovy.) We have also fixed electronic synths and keyboards. One time we fixed a diesel fuel injector for a 2007 ford F250.
How do you choose pricing?
We need to look at each device and quote. Replacing a phone LCD connector microsoldering is different then soldering 2 wires together. Stop by or call for more info.
